Posted by: | CommentsFirst I need to say thanks to Avi Fine for sending this my way. Have you ever watched a video that just made you throw your hands up and say “I Give Up” or “You Win”. I am an entrepreneur and I love coming up with great ideas and seeing them come to fruition and I have lots of great ideas, but then I watched this video and said to myself why am I even bothering. This guy is the future. I told Avi that Micosoft or the like should buy him for $25 million a year and that would probably be a bargain. Watch this video, but don’t give up, get inspired!

Had I known earlier he was coming, I would have made some room in our schedule to have him come down and take a close look at Qoof, The Video Commerce Company
The idea is not unique as it’s been done by Improv Everywhere to perfection, but it is unique to the Jewish community and was performed brilliantly by NCSY to promote the upcoming NCSY Auction to raise money for Jewish Youth.
It is a breath of fresh air for promoting a non-profit endeavor. As of this posting it was viewed more then 10,000 times on YouTube. I imagine that the cost to do this promotion was close to zero and has and will continue to make a greater impact the expensive advertisements. Kudos to NCSY for thinking out of the box and will be great to see more of these types of marketing campaigns. Enjoy the video below.

Be Proud!
The Kosher market continues to soar with the feeling amongst non-Jewish Americans that Kosher food is safer and healthier. If the Kosher Super Powers were smart they would launch a nationwide campaign pointing out the benefits to “buying Kosher”. I believe such a campaign would increase the market by at least a few percentage points. Especially with the current “Swine-Flu” epidemic.

Video: Business Card Spam – Chris Brogan on Business Cards
Posted by: | CommentsThis is a great video on what Chris Brogan thinks about business cards and what he does with them. Now Chris is a real people person and I had the merit to meet him a few times. He is the real deal. What he is basically saying is that throwing a business card after a speaking engagement is a lot like trying to win the lottery and he usually throws away 80% of the business cards he gets. Chris is not a mean guy and I’m sure he would not want you to take his throwing out your business card personally, but he is being realistic. There is just not enough time to go through every card and reply to each one. It’s not personal, it’s business.
Now I think we can all agree that there is a purpose to business cards and they do come in handy, but it is usually after you have met with someone and had a conversation. Just giving your card to someone in the hopes that they will look at it and be wowed enough to take action is what I like to call “Business Card Spam” and just like online spam, business card spam will be deleted.
