What is the statute of limitations on calling a product “New”?
ByWhat is the statute of limitations on calling a product “new” in Israel? In our last post on this subject about 5 months ago we talked about a package of tissues. This time we are talking about a “bowl of soup” which has become a staple of start-up offices everywhere. Problem is, as you can see in the pic below, they are still marketing this product as Chadash when it has been around in the very same packaging for the last 2-3 years! Come on guys! Change the marketing message. Do you think anyone buys this product because it says it’s new? The only thing that it makes us think is that it must be old!

Ha! Love it. At least it’s not “new and improved”!

I’ve long noticed the widespread lack of concern for personal or business integrity in the Holy Land (pushing in lines, passive-aggressive pakidim shutting windows to power-trip helpless olim, poor – if any – customer service in stores, bus riders refusing to move over so someone can sit down and forcing them to climb over laps to an enpty seat, refusing to let disabled riders sit in designated seats behind the drivers, etc). Sad.
I’m aching to do Hebrew and English Public Service Announcements that educate viewers and listeners about how to behave as “bnai adam.” I want a Laugh-Out-Loud format that leaves people talking about the lessons and helps them to improve their conduct.
I’ve written scripts and provide professional writing services. If anyone reading this message cares to wrok with me to make those PSAs a reality, call me at 02.999.8392 or write to me at yocheved@yochevedgolani.com
